UK based fashion, portrait, and art photographer.
Glendon's innovative lighting, his unique ability to shape light not only brings out the beauty in his subjects but also profoundly creates emotion and atmosphere in his compositions. A style, somewhat vintage with a modern touch.
Inspired by some of the great photographers of the 20th century and by cinema, his work displays an element of Hollywood glamour and elegance and draws you in with its narrative qualities.
"I have always been interested in art as far back as I can remember. From the age of sixteen, I studied art history, design, illustration, music and photography. I then came to the decision to pursue graphic and web design as a career.
From 2007 to 2011, I worked as a graphic designer and web designer.
From 2011 I was persuaded to study digital photography as the company I had worked for moved towards family portraiture in the attempt to expand its services.
In 2013 that same company went into liquidation. By that time I was hooked on photography and well on my way to find what inspires me and what would define my style.
That which started as technical scrutiny of digital photography, transformed into a personal expression of emotion, light, and mood.
The correct balance of light and shadow, in my opinion, is the key to a great image. It brings clarity.
It's light that creates the emotional connection between you and the manifestation, recorded in time. But the shadows create a sense of wonder and atmosphere."
